The first thing I wanted to do when I arrived in Seville was find a place that served paella. As I sat down to order at a restaurant I had discovered on TripAdvisor, I was disappointed to hear that the paella I was so anxious to eat was only available to large groups. I asked the waiter if there were any other places that served smaller portions of paella — to keep me from leaving he told me that I wouldn’t be able to find such a place. Frustrated, I decided to leave & walk around town in hopes of stumbling upon a restaurant that served smaller portions of my beloved rice dish. It didn’t take long for me to find exactly what I was looking for as I walked less than a minute down the street. That day I learned that if you’re looking for something in a foreign place, don’t take no for an answer (unless of course you’re trying to go against the norms of the area).
